The Susquehanna River
Basin Commission headquarters building, situated along the Susquehanna
River, was designed to withstand a 100-year flood, by allowing water to
pass through the flood control arches.
From Maryland and
Points South
From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) take I-83 North to the Second Street
Exit at Harrisburg. (This is the first exit after crossing Susquehanna
River bridge). Take Second Street (one way) north through Harrisburg's
Market Square, past Forster Street to the uptown residential section of
the City. At the traffic light at end of 1700 block of North Second Street,
turn left onto Kelker Street and go toward Susquehanna River. The SRBC
Headquarters Building is the last building on your left. Turn left into
parking lot at rear of building.
From Lancaster
and Points East Along I-283 Corridor
Take I-283 West to I-283 North to I-83 South. Follow I-83 South to Second
Street Exit. Take Second Street (one way) north through Harrisburg's Market
Square, past Forster Street to the uptown residential section of the City.
At the traffic light at end of 1700 block of North Second Street, turn
left onto Kelker Street and go toward Susquehanna River. The SRBC Headquarters
Building is the last building on your left. Turn left into parking lot
at rear of building.
From Philadelphia
and Points East Along I-76 Corridor
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) West to Exit 19 (Harrisburg East).
Take I-283 North to I-83 South. Follow I-83 South to Second Street Exit.
Take Second Street (one way) north through Harrisburg's Market Square,
past Forster Street to the uptown residential section of the City. At
the traffic light at end of 1700 block of North Second Street, turn left
onto Kelker Street and go toward Susquehanna River. The SRBC Headquarters
Building is the last building on your left. Turn left into parking lot
at rear of building.
From Allentown
and Points East Along I-78 Corridor
Take I-78 West to I-81 South. As you approach the Susquehanna River, take
the Front Street South Exit off of I-81. Follow Front Street south past
Governor's Mansion (at Maclay Street) to Kelker Street. The SRBC Headquarters
Building is on the far left corner of Kelker and Front. Turn left onto
Kelker and right into parking lot at the rear of the building.
From Binghamton
and Points Northeast Along I-81 Corridor
Take I-81 South to Harrisburg. As you approach the Susquehanna River,
take the Front Street South Exit off of I-81. Follow Front Street south
past Governor's Mansion (at Maclay Street) to Kelker Street. The SRBC
Headquarters Building is on the far left corner of Kelker and Front. Turn
left onto Kelker and right into parking lot at the rear of the building.
From Elmira and
Points North Along Route 15 Corridor
Take Route 15 South to Route 322 East to I-81 South. As you approach the
Susquehanna River, take the Front Street South Exit off of I-81. Follow
Front Street south past Governor's Mansion (at Maclay Street) to Kelker
Street. The SRBC Headquarters Building is on the far left corner of Kelker
and Front. Turn left onto Kelker and right into parking lot at the rear
of the building.
From State College
and Points Northwest Along the Route 322 Corridor
Take Route 322 East to I-81 South. As you approach the Susquehanna River,
take the Front Street South Exit off of I-81. Follow Front Street south
past Governor's Mansion (at Maclay Street) to Kelker Street. The SRBC
Headquarters Building is on the far left corner of Kelker and Front. Turn
left onto Kelker and right into parking lot at the rear of the building.
From Pittsburgh
and Points West

Harrisburg's Market Square, past Forster Street to the uptown residential
