The
Susquehanna River Basin Commission in partnership with others is pleased
to sponsor a Users' Conference in the Lower Susquehanna Subbasin to:
(1) increase awareness
of the basin's existing flood forecast and warning system (FF&WS);
(2) introduce system partners and their responsibilities; and
(2) provide hands-on training to help people get the most of the internet
and to raise awareness of the many helpful NWS programs.
The Susquehanna
River Basin Flood Forecast and Warning System brings together enhancements
in data collection and advances in science and technology to improve
the lead time in flood forecasting.
During the conference,
you will:
Learn
how the existing flood forecast and warning system works;
Receive hands-on training
on internet flood forecasting tools;
See a demonstration of the
National Weather Service's
forecasting products; and
Participate and provide feedback
to help improve the
basin's flood forecasting
system.
