PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
With funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Growing Greener Technical Assistance Grant program, the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) established a program for watershed organizations in the Pennsylvania portion of the Susquehanna basin. The Susquehanna basin is home to more than 150 watershed organizations comprised of volunteers who are making a difference to restore and/or protect their watersheds and communities. SRBC's technical assistance program is intended to provide information-through workshops and web-based information-to emerging and existing watershed organizations on certain legal issues.

The purpose of SRBC's Legal Technical Assistance Program is to build and enhance the capacity and sustainability of watershed organizations by providing selected information on issues, including:

• 501(c)(3) non-profit status
• Articles of Incorporation
• Liability Issues
• Good Samaritan Act
