SRBC Draft Comprehensive Plan

SRBC has released the draft Comprehensive Plan for the Water Resources of the Susquehanna River Basin for review and public comment until August 18, 2008. The Comprehensive Plan provides a framework for SRBC to manage and develop the basin’s water resources and serves as a guide for all SRBC programs and activities. The Plan is also intended as a resource for SRBC’s member jurisdictions, water resource managers, private sector interests and others in the basin.

There are two options for downloading the draft Plan (see tips at the bottom, if needed):

Complete draft Plan with appendices (PDF format, 209 pages, 3.61 MB)
Complete draft Plan without appendices (PDF format, 124 pages, 3.23 MB)

Comments on the Draft Plan

Send comments by the August 18 deadline to Ava Stoops, Susquehanna River Basin Commission, 1721 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17102, or by e-mail to astoops@srbc.net. Ava Stoops can be reached by phone at (717) 238-0423 ext. 302.

To facilitate public comment, SRBC is conducting three public hearings. Anyone intending to present comment/testimony should contact Richard Cairo at (717) 238-0423, ext. 306, or by e-mail at rcairo@srbc.net. The public hearings will be conducted on:

The draft plan is in .pdf format. If you have the standard or professional 8.x version of Adobe Acrobat installed on your PC, you have the ability to add comments directly on the .pdf document.
Due to the landscaped tables contained within Appendix 2, it is recommended that you print the document to a printer that supports landscape printing.
