SRBC’s Comprehensive Plan for the Water Resources of the Susquehanna River Basin – updated and adopted in December 2013, with amendments to follow each year - provides a framework for SRBC to manage and develop the basin’s water resources and serves as a guide for all SRBC programs and activities. The Plan is also a resource for SRBC’s member jurisdictions, water resource managers, private sector interests and others in the basin. The Plan calls for a five-year update to help ensure the Plan is current and of long-term value and usefulness.
Amendments to the Plan will be part of a SRBC public hearing to be held on May 11, 2017, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (see Public Participation Center) and are scheduled for Commission action at its next business meeting, tentatively scheduled for June 16, 2017. The plan is to be amended by adding: 1) projects approved by SRBC from July 2016 through June 2017; and 2) the SRBC Annual Water Resources Program – FY2018/2019. Written comments can be submitted through May 22, 2017, on the Public Participation Center.
