Safe drinking water is an important and basic need for everyone. With the common goal of improving efforts to protect source water on a regional scale, government and non-government agencies, water suppliers, planners and others saw a need to form the Lower Susquehanna Source Water Protection Partnership. The Partnership takes a regional approach to many of the issues that face water suppliers on an individual level, but with many of the systems using similar sources or overlapping contribution areas a broader approach will be beneficial.
