The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) initiated a research program in 2010 to support the SRBC mission and the activities of its member jurisdictions in managing the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin (basin). Through this new initiative, SRBC encourages applied research that will support innovative, science-based planning and management for the sustainable use and development of the basin’s water resources.
Throughout its history, SRBC has always supported “sound science” to support water quality, quantity, and ecosystem management. As demands on the basin’s water resources have increased, targeted research is needed to better understand critical and emerging issues, find effective and innovative solutions, and help resolve water resource issues and controversies.
