workshop fact sheet
For most fledgling
watershed organizations, the process of becoming a non-profit organization
is fraught with confusion. To help navigate the maze of procedures
and forms, SRBC will be offering a series of six workshops in early
2003 entitled, "Obtaining 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Status for Pennsylvania
Watershed Organizations." These evening workshops will be held
from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the following locations:

The workshops
feature attorney Steve Schiffman who has assisted many Pennsylvania
watershed organizations in obtaining 501(c)(3) status. Steve will
help demystify these complicated procedures and lay out the basic
principles of becoming a non-profit organization. For more information
