Cindy Obenstine, Administrative Specialist
The third quarter of 2005 was the culmination of several important planning
projects at SRBC, and Cindy played a critical role in producing the reports and
other documents necessary to complete the projects.
In particular, Cindy was recognized for assembling the Northern Lancaster County Groundwater Study report and the Groundwater Management Plan report - both under tight deadlines. She also learned in a short timeframe the procedures for producing SRBC's project review dockets, while learning new computer programs and handling all of her other administrative duties. Cindy was also highly praised for her friendly and professional demeanor, her willingness to assist anyone at SRBC and her ability to handle many projects at one time.
Executive Director Paul Swartz said, "At the Commission, staff are guided by a set of core values, and they are 'Teamwork, Professionalism and Quality.' Cindy truly exemplifies those values. Her diligence and 'can-do' attitude translate into good services for the citizens of the Susquehanna basin."
Cindy joined SRBC in early 2005. Prior to that she worked 17 years for Science Applications International Corporation in Harrisburg.
