Revised Comprehensive Plan for Water Resources in the Susquehanna
River Basin Now Available
On February 5, SRBC announced the availability
of its revised Comprehensive Plan for the Water Resources of the
Susquehanna River Basin, as adopted on December 4, 2008, on the
web site at www.srbc.net/planning/compplanfiles.asp.
SRBC is required to have a Comprehensive Plan to manage and develop
the Susquehanna basin’s water resources and guide SRBC’s

Urges $2.4 Million for Susquehanna Flood Warning System
In early January, SRBC called on President-elect
Barack Obama, Appropriations Subcommittee Chairwoman U.S. Senator
Barbara Mikulski (Maryland) and other members of Congress to provide
$2.4 million in Fiscal Year 2010 to fully fund the Susquehanna
Flood Forecast and Warning System (Susquehanna System). The funds
are to be allocated to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) to direct to NOAA’s National Weather Service (NWS)
and the U.S. Geological Survey to maintain and operate the Susquehanna
