SRBC AND PARTNERS TO HOLD
"DESIGN SOLUTIONS FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT" WORKSHOP ON NOVEMBER 10, 2009

WHAT:

The Design Solutions for Stormwater Management workshop will provide guidance for site design and implementation, from start to finish. Participants will learn how to use a holistic approach when developing or retrofitting stormwater controls at their site, and hear from local practitioners as they share their experiences and insights with implementing green infrastructure elements into their own projects.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Planning and design
  • Cost-effective implementation
  • Success/pitfalls (case studies)
  • Plant selection and maintenance issues

The morning lecture series is broken into three sessions that offer step-by-step recommendations on planning, designing, and implementing stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs). The lecture sessions will be followed by a hands-on raingarden demonstration that will allow participants to see the concepts in action. After lunch, a field trip to local BMP demonstration sites will be offered.

Please join us to learn from, and network with, stormwater management practitioners.
