and Energy Committee on SRBC's regulation of water use by the natural

PA-AWRA 2008 Conference
The annual PA-AWRA Conference is scheduled for Thursday,
October 9, 2008 at the Best Western Eden Resort and Conference Center
in Lancaster, PA. The theme for the 2008 confernece is "Pennsylvania
Water Resources in a Changing Climate." Registration and general

Proposed
Rulemaking: Natural Gas Well Development Projects
The
proposed revisions are open for public comment through October 31,
2008. Written comments can be submitted on or before October 31, 2008

In conjunction with the public comment period, SRBC has scheduled
two public hearings to explain the proposed regulatory changes and
to receive public comment. The hearings will be held on:

11, 2008 Commission Meeting Handout
The
Water Resources Management Division of the SRBC produced three hand
outs at the September Commission meeting related to project applications
recommended for approval including natural gas development projects.

Projects
Approved at the September 11 SRBC Meeting
At
the September 11 business meeting in Lewisburg, Pa., SRBC approved
48 applications for water withdrawals and/or consumptive water uses,
tabled six projects, approved six enforcement actions, and granted
extension of one emergency certificate.
