Operations: Until further notice SRBC's office locations are closed to visitors. Staff are currently working remotely to adhere to the PA Governor’s “Stay-at-Home” Order, but are able to be reached at their normal voice line or email address.
Contacting SRBC Staff: The most effective way to reach staff is by email during routine working hours. For general inquiries or information, continue to use the main number at 717-238-0423, and our main email address at email@example.com. Staff are responding to their individual phone extension and email, although we thank you for your understanding and patience if you experience any delays in response.
Public Hearings and Commission Meetings: Please see our Meetings and Events pages for the latest information. The Commission plans to continue to hold to the existing quarterly schedule, although we are contemplating format changes to best accommodate state orders and adhere to proper social distancing protocols. Please continue to monitor our website for those details.
Docket Conditions and Compliance Discretion: We recognize our regulated community has been ordered to either suspend operations or make significant changes to the way they operate for the duration of the emergency declaration. The Commission’s rules, regulations and related docket conditions are in place to protect the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin, and so all project sponsors are expected to make every effort to meet all terms and conditions of their dockets.
The Commission will exercise its enforcement discretion and flexibility on a case-by-case basis during the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID-19 outbreak, and encourages projects to reach out to discuss any issues regarding challenges in maintaining their compliance using 717-238-0423 extension 1019, or COVID19_circumstances@srbc.net. In any case, if compliance is not reasonably practicable, facilities should document and maintain records of any noncompliance and return to compliance as soon as possible and staff will evaluate and consider enforcement discretion.
Data Reporting Systems: The Commission’s website and data reporting systems continue to function as normally, and projects should continue to use them as necessary and required.
Fees: The Commission recognizes the unprecedented nature of these circumstances, and the effect it may have on projects subject to the state orders to shut down, significantly curtail operations or otherwise alter business operations. If you anticipate any impacts to processing and timing of fee payments, please contact Commission staff at 717-238-0423 extension 1019, or COVID19_circumstances@srbc.net.
