Application Networks Overview


As technology advances, the number and nature of applications for LiDAR data grow almost exponentially. Besides applications to derive specific facts or patterns from a single set of lidar data we’ll dramatically expand applications when we have multiple generations of lidar data so that change detection between data cycles is possible. Furthermore, given the density and huge quantity of data we can expect soon, applications developed for managing and analyzing datasets in completely different endeavors may hold promise; real-time analysis of multiple sensors in autonomous vehicle navigation and medical imaging are just two examples.
